Picking up from where the previous season left off, Season Eight begins with the girls sussing out which one of them is pregnant: Rachel. Then, as more of the gang find out, they discover that the child's father is Ross, following a one-night stand. As the two prepare for the arrival of their child, Phoebe tries to cover for Rachel by pretending she's pregnant. When Rachel bemoans that she's not able to date as often, Joey takes her for a night out but starts to feel attracted to her. However he knows that their dating isn't a good idea given her and Ross' history, and when Rachel finds out she lets him down gently. Joey also decides that Rachel should move in with Ross as he is missing important moments in her pregnancy and is desperate to have Rachel and the baby living with him. Joey remains greatly attracted to his roommate. Rachel's realization that she does not know how to care for a child leads to the prospect of her mother moving in with her and Ross. Rachel becomes frustrated when the baby is late.
In the season finale, Rachel goes into a painfully slow labor while her friends get up to all sorts elsewhere in the hospital. Eventually she gives birth to a baby girl, Emma, however Ross isn't willing to restart their relationship now there's a child in the middle of it who could get hurt. Later, Joey is visiting Rachel when he sports a ring on the floor and bends down to pick it up. Rachel, however, thinks he's proposing... and accepts.
Season 8 was announced directly after season 7's finale. The season's title is Time & Punishment and picks up after the events of the season 7 finale and has the Friends attempt to travel back to the present day, unsure of what they'll encounter as they go.
The season's title and theme were first teased by Simon's Instagram when he revealed the season's poster. He earlier teased various parts of this poster before revealing the full piece. The first episode was recorded live at the 9th of March 2022. The first podcast released on the 11th of March for Patreons and on the 14th for the public.
All liveshows were simply named "Live at the Comedy Store" (Sydney) except for the final four, which were held in the Vanguard (Newtown). The names used here are from the notes Dave released on Discord after the season had concluded.
When season 7 of Friends ended, audiences were both happy and shocked. On the one hand, Chandler and Monica finally made their relationship official and got married in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Joey. But on the other hand, Rachel found out she was pregnant, leaving everyone to wonder who the father was and what the consequences would be for her future. Would she tell the mysterious man she was carrying her child? Would she raise the baby alone?
Thankfully, season 8 finally rolled around, and eventually answered all the questions fans were left with. Over the course of over twenty episodes, everyone was glued to their screens in order to accompany Rachel's journey through pregnancy, her surprising relationship with Joey, Monica and Chandler's newlywed life, and a Brad Pitt cameo. A lot happened on season 8 of Friends, which means it's time to jog your memory and relive some of the best moments.
In the third episode of the season, Monica and Chandler are on their honeymoon, and Monica keeps being Monica. After they try to sneak into the first-class lounge, they fail and are left with only an orange that she stole.
The season premiered exactly where it left off - at Monica and Chandler's wedding. Everyone thinks Monica is the one who's pregnant, and she must spend the entirety of the reception denying the rumor. The only thing that works is Phoebe assuming the pregnancy instead.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Say Goodbye-Mr. Clarion goes to school, but doesn't know about anything there. Mrs. Clarion says she'll meet Mr. Clarion after school at the park. Mr. Clarion comes back from school early to meet Mrs. Clarion at the park, where a boy asks them to get a football. The two friends promise to get it, and see Wade Duck riding in a toy car, pretending to run the two over. Then, Mr. Clarion asks if Wade has a driver's license, and Wade claims he doesn't have one. Then, Mr. and Mrs. Clarion get run over by a truck. It appears Mr. Clarion died, but Mrs. Clarion's pendant protected her when she got run over, so she had time to throw herself on the floor so the truck wouldn't hit her. As a consequence, (because all the magic in the pendant can be used to protect someone from death) her pendant broke. It then cuts to the grave of Mr. Clarion. Then, Mr. Clarion gets revived into a plush toy, and Mrs. Clarion gets a new pendant, and the Wizard of Dappyland said she had one more chance to get the last Dappy Gem. In the montage, the narrator states that the Dappy Creatures came back to Earth because Mrs. Clarion helped out someone with a problem involving finding a lost toy. After this, her pendant was no longer needed, so it was returned to Dappyland, and she becomes a normal girl named Claire, and the plush toy of Mr. Clarion was given to Claire's new baby sister. Greenie then thanks everyone for watching the series and promises that we'll be back to normal programming soon.
Queen Lanolin and the Fortune Gem, Part 2- In our second part of the story, Aloysius is confused about everyone running around over non-existant things and joins the story as a prince named Yudi (which is the Chinese word for raindrop). At the point where Aloysius joined, Lanolin, Wade, and Roy were close to the gem, but King Orkan prevented the three friends from getting it. Yudi has an idea to sneak past the king. Will our friends get the gem, or will Orkan be the strongest ruler in the land? Song: "Queen Lanolin Samba"
Lanolin and Lanolina: Lanolin encounters a sheep who looks just like her named Lanolina. The two become friends and play with each other on the farm. Orson's brothers then kidnap Lanolina, and it's up to Power Pig to save her.
But as the fall TV season approaches, during which networks will unveil a slew of new sitcoms that can only hope to just barely graze the type of popularity and lasting power that Friends enjoyed, now seems like a fitting time to take a look back at the legacy of the NBC sitcom season-by-season.
On the third episode of season eight, "The One Where Rachel Tells Ross," Chandler and Monica head on their honeymoon. The episode shows the two getting upstaged by another newly-married couple every leg of the way on their vacation. The other couple gets upgraded to the last first class seats on a flight. When they check in to the same hotel, they get upgraded to a nicer suite room seconds ahead of Chandler and Monica.
In the season premiere, the reception following Monica and Chandler's wedding is almost upstaged by the news flash that someone might be pregnant -- and when Phoebe thinks it's Rachel, she quickly comes up with a plan to cover for her friend. Elsewhere at the party: Ross tries to impress a pretty single woman (guest star Bonnie Somerville); Chandler has troubles on the dance floor; and Joey hopes to impress Chandler's mom's (guest star Morgan Fairchild) date (guest star Jim Piddock) -- an important Broadway producer -- with his acting ability.
Ross's and Rachel's attempt to explain to the gang how they wound up in bed together six weeks earlier quickly devolves into an argument over who came on to whom -- until Ross shocks the room by announcing that he has the whole encounter on videotape. Meanwhile, Monica and Chandler return from their honeymoon, excited at the prospect of hanging out with another just-married couple they met on the flight home...until they discover that their newfound "friends" gave them a fake phone number. 781b155fdc
