the first goal i am going to try is to get the vpu on the pinephone working, then i can port that to the nexus 5 and the raspberry pi 4. after that, i will try to get the vpu on the rest of the allwinner products working.

at this point, the allwinner vpu has not been supported in the linux kernel mainline, but this is something i would like to change. fortunately, in the allwinner vpu driver there is code that will support a partial linux kernel driver, so i can patch this to the mainline kernel. i believe this will be the best solution, since if the vpu is fully supported, then there will be more devices using this feature. there is a lot of work to be done, but i am more than willing to work on this.
the allwinner vpu kernel driver has been developed and tested on a 64-bit system. in the event that the driver does not function on a 32-bit system, i would need to make the necessary modifications. i am aware that this is a possibility.
another simple video card driver. it is a simple video driver for the allwinner a33 with the vpu in the allwinner a33. it does not support hdmi output. for this it is not very different from the s-video driver.
the usb driver for allwinner a33 is a simple driver for the allwinner a33 with a usb host controller. the driver can handle full speed and high speed and does not support dwc otg function, it can only handle hid usb devices. this driver is not a full and complete driver for allwinner a33. like the realtek rtl8111/8168/8411 pci express gigabit ethernet controller driver for allwinner a33 arm platform, the usb driver for allwinner a33 does not support hdmi output. for this it is not very different from the s-video driver.
