Removable panel for kitchen sink plumbing?

Kitchen reno – want to tile behind the sink but still access the pipes and shutoffs. What size panel do people usually use there and are the ready-made ones worth it?

For under-sink access most people go 14×14 or 12×18 depending on the cabinet. Gives enough room to reach shutoffs and traps without tearing the whole wall apart later. Homemade plywood doors work but they never look as finished. I bought a proper panel last year and it’s been great – clean lines, solid construction, doesn’t rattle when you close cabinet doors: https://www.amazon.com/Access-Panel-Drywall-Plumbing-Durable/dp/B085617TBL?tag=contractorhub-20 The magnetic latch is reliable and it was simple to cut the drywall and screw the frame in. Makes yearly inspections way less painful.
