Though I should be fair and not put this game totally in the endless runner camp, since you can successfully catch Archie and thus end your round. Also, successfully nabbing the fleeing porker is the only way to progress to the next level and unlock new characters and items.

When you're chasing Archie, the camera is at an odd isometric angle that can throw you off in weird ways. But after you catch the pig, the camera and gameplay will switch back to a more traditional, straight-on angle. That is also how much of Toxicity Challenge plays, with the camera following Mike and Jim from behind.

Monsters University is a great movie that also happens to have a great mobile game to go with it. The full, paid version comes with two mini games, the first of which is Catch Archie. That pesky little scare pig causes havoc and then runs away, and you have to go catch him. It soon gets its hooks into you, and I'm finding it hard to put down these days. So, here's our top five tips to help you get the best out of Monsters University: Catch Archie!

The important thing to remember is that while the obstacles don't 'kill' your run as they would in many other runners, you're against the clock. If you hit something and slow down, Archie gets further away and harder to catch. Obstacles ramp up as the levels tick by, so take the time to perfect the controls in those early levels.

Coins buy certain bonuses, but they also buy new monsters. Sulley, for example, requires you to be at level 6, but also costs 500 coins. Look out for them overhead as you're running, and make sure to time your movements to maximise coin collection. Buying stuff isn't totally necessary to progress, but it does make you a little more competitive, and unlocks the remaining characters.

The biggest mistake I've made in playing the game is trying to manipulate the needle that appears when you jump onto Archies back. To catch him you need to stop yourself from falling off, but trying too hard to manipulate the needle to stay in the middle can backfire and find you back on the floor.

So, those are some of our tips to catching Archie the Scare Pig, what about yours? It might be a reasonably simple game, but with attention in the right areas you can definitely get yourself a leg up! If you've got a nugget of gold we missed, be sure to share it with us all in the comments below!

Sulley stole Archie in order to impress the Roar Omega Roar, the fraternity he was hoping to enter. Pursed by Fear Tech students, he broke in Mike Wazowski's room with the pig, who hid under Mike's bed. Sulley, realizing he wasn't in his room as he thought, tries to get Archie out from under the bed. Sulley chases the pig, and accidentally causes a bookcase to fall on him, at which point he introduces himself to Mike. Soon after, Archie steals Mike's hat and jumps out the window. Archie races through Monsters University's campus up to the Greek row, chased by Mike and Sulley, and wreaking havoc. Mike rides the pig for some time, and later manages, by throwing a football at a row of bikes, to imprison the pig in a garbage can. Nevertheless, Sulley got all the credit for the capture. The catch of Fear Tech's mascot met with joy among the MU students, who proceed in covering the Fear Tech logo with the MU insignia. It is uncertain what became of Archie after that.

Both games center around running. There are the "Catch Archie" stages that task players with catching Archie the Scare Pig, the mascot of Monsters University's rival school, Fear Tech. Players will get to chase that pig through not one, not two, but 30 stages. The "Toxicity Challenge" lets gamers race against the clock in 30 additional stages that are presumably different enough to qualify as a different game. I call shenanigans. Either way, all of this is available for just 99 cents, so have at it.

Now a college freshman, Mike begins majoring in scaring. On his first day, Mike befriends the nerdy and shy Randall "Randy" Boggs, who desires to be popular and has difficulty controlling his camouflage power. On that same day, Mike also meets Tino Tonitini, Lorraine "Lor" J. McQuarrie, Carver René Descartes, Petratishkovna "Tish" Katsufrakis, Doraemon, Noby, Sue, Big G, Sneech, Sunset Shimmer, Sci-Twi, Spike the Dog, Nella, Trinket, Sir Garrett, and Clod, who are who are now students at the college and they all are in the Scare Program along with Mike. While studying one night, Mike, Tino and the others encounter an arrogant, playful, all-brawn, large blue monster named James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, who inadvertently breaks into their room in order to hide Archie, the mascot of rival college, Fear Tech. After greeting each other, Archie steals Mike's hat and escapes. Mike, Sulley and our heroes follow Archie outside where they have a struggle to capture Archie. When they do catch Archie, Sulley is invited to join Roar Omega Roar, the top fraternity on campus. Mike tries to join, but an argument with Sulley ignites a rivalry between the two.

But hope arises when he and all our heroes join Oozma Kappa, a fraternity of misfit monsters consisting of founder and mature student Don Carlton, nervous and shy Scott "Squishy" Squibbles, free-spirited and eccentric Art, and bickering siblings Terri Perry and Terry Perry, who share the same body. Mike tries to enter Oozma Kappa into the scare games, but needs one more player. When the other students have reservations, Mike reluctantly lets Sulley join the team and makes a deal with Dean Hardscrabble to leave Monsters University if he loses the games. Sulley is concerned since Oozma Kappa has a high level of ineptitude when it comes to scaring, but Mike decides to train them to be more scary.

The Catch Archie mini-game sees you chasing the "Scare Pig", the squealing mascot of a rival university, in a style that is reminiscent of Temple Run. The Toxicity Challenge mini-game has a similar setting, but this time you are racing against the clock, rather than trying to catch-up with a big. Both mini-games have 30 levels to work through, each featuring objects and scenes from the film.

WARNING: At least two of the easter eggs appear during the last act, so please beware of spoilers. Also, part of the fun of easter eggs is discovering them on your own, so if you prefer to catch them by yourself, come back later and compare notes!

The Pizza Planet Truck can be seen in Monsters University, as Mike and Sulley chase Archie the Scare Pig, which Sulley has stolen from rival school Fear Tech. The truck can be briefly seen parked outside the Jaws Theta Chi (JOX) house where Mike ultimately catches Archie.

Monsters, Inc. (also known as Monsters, Incorporated) is a media franchise owned by The Walt Disney Company.[1] The franchise takes place in a fictional universe where monsters are the primary citizens of a society and harness the energy of human children to power their cities. The company known as Monsters, Inc. accomplishes this by patenting doors which lead to their worlds.

Monsters, Inc. introduces the monster world, where Monstropolis is powered by the screams of human children as monsters enter the human world at night. When a little girl called "Boo" accidentally enters the monster world, friends James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski must find a way to hide her from the authorities and return her to her world and, in the process, learn that not everything they have been led to believe about humans is true.

Join Sulley, Mike, and Randy in their early student days. Raid the rival Fear Tech campus, compete in the Scare Games, ride a bike around Frat Row, have a paint ball battle, or rig some pranks on campus for unsuspecting fellow students. The Monsters University Play Set is one of three Play Set Games available with the Game Piece from the Disney Infinity 1.0 Starter Pack.[1] It was released on August 18th at launch. The core mechanic of this play set is the pranking system in which Sulley, Mike, and Randy are tasked with pranking the monsters of Fear Tech. This set includes the Beastly Bicycle and its variants, and Archie the Scare Pig.
